Safe for All Skin Tones (Fitzpatrick I–VI)
This page is a curated list of products that are safe for all skin tones, including deeper skin tones that are more prone to pigmentation.
Skin is often categorized using the Fitzpatrick scale, which ranges from Type I (very fair) to Type VI (deep). Higher Fitzpatrick skin types naturally produce more melanin, which means the skin is more reactive to irritation and more likely to develop post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (dark spots) after breakouts, inflammation, or overly aggressive treatments.
Because of this, not all products are created equally for every skin tone.
The products listed here are chosen to minimize the risk of triggering pigmentation, support even skin tone and clarity, avoid unnecessary irritation, work safely across all Fitzpatrick types
This is especially important when choosing exfoliants, active ingredients, and treatments that can easily disrupt the skin if used incorrectly.
The goal is to support healthy, even-toned skin without creating new pigmentation in the process.
